What happens if the weather is bad?
Your safety is our absolute priority. If our captains determine that the conditions on Lake Michigan are unsafe for navigation, we will work with you to reschedule your charter for another date at no additional cost. We monitor the weather closely and will stay in constant communication with you leading up to your departure.
Can we bring our own food and drinks?
Yes, absolutely. You are welcome to bring your own selection of food and beverages. However, for a truly effortless experience, we highly recommend our curated catering and beverage packages. We provide high-end coolers, ice, and glassware—just let us know your preferences when booking.
Where do we board the yacht?
All of our charters depart from prime locations, primarily within the DuSable Harbor or 31st Street Harbor. Once your booking is confirmed, you will receive a detailed “Arrival Guide” including the specific slip number, parking recommendations, and instructions on how to meet your captain at the dock.
Are children allowed on board?
Yes, our charters are family-friendly. We maintain a variety of USCG-approved life jackets for all ages, including children. Please let us know the number and ages of any children in your party in advance so we can ensure the proper safety equipment is ready and waiting.
Can we play our own music?
Of course. All of our vessels are equipped with premium Bluetooth-compatible sound systems. Whether you have a curated “Lake Day” playlist or want to connect to a streaming service, you’ll have full control over the soundtrack for your voyage.
How far in advance should I book?
Chicago’s summer season is short and highly sought after. We recommend booking at least 4 to 6 weeks in advance to secure your preferred date and time, especially for weekends, holidays, and firework displays. That said, feel free to reach out for last-minute availability—we will always try our best to accommodate you.
What is included in the charter price?
Your charter fee includes the private rental of the vessel, a USCG-licensed captain, fuel costs, and a professional crew member to handle lines and ensure your comfort. Gratuities are not included in the base price and are always appreciated if you enjoyed the service provided by your crew.
